The updated eKO® is a natural yoga mat made from sustainably harvested tree rubber and containing over 30% recycled contents. Unlike other rubber mats available today, the foaming agents used to create the eKO® are non-toxic. What this means is that no toxic chemicals have gone into the manufacturing process to soften the rubber. eKO® Series mats are the most durable natural rubber mats on the market, which means the mat will last longer before you have to replace it, therefore creating less waste. The packaging is made from recycled PET. Crafted in Taiwan.

To Store: Roll the mat with the top surface (textured grip side) facing out to help it lay flat during practice. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent premature aging of the natural rubber. Avoid leaving in a hot car or near heat sources.

Because the eKO's closed-cell surface does not absorb moisture, the mat may feel slick if you’re prone to sweat. We recommend pairing it with an Equa or Yogitoes hand towel for grip, or using an Equa or Yogitoes Hot Yoga Mat Towel for heated practices.

To Clean/General Maintenance: After practice, wipe the mat with Manduka’s Natural Rubber Yoga Mat Restore. Use a damp cloth to gently clean, then lay flat or hang to air dry before rolling. Do not soak, submerge, or use harsh chemicals, as these can damage the natural rubber.

Because the eKO Series is made from natural rubber, it is sensitive to prolonged UV exposure and may fade or become brittle if left in the sun. Avoid storing the mat when damp and ensure it is completely dry before rolling. Regularly conditioning your rubber mat with Manduka’s Natural Rubber Mat Restore helps maintain performance and extend the life of your mat.
